BG Research LLC is an investment advisory and financial markets research firm focusing primarily on the municipal bond market.
Municipal bonds are a unique market, shaped by the requirements of over 50,000 issuing state and local governments and the implications of tax-exemption on supply and demand dynamics. Expertise in this market is hard to come by and it's difficult for equity or taxable fixed income specialists to deal the municipal bond market on a part-time basis. That’s why BG Research is looking to provide hedge funds, financial advisers and other portfolio managers with a resource to gain the edge in the municipal market.
With over 25 years in the fixed-income markets, 20 of them in munis, I’ve seen the market from all sides. As a portfolio strategist, derivative specialist and proprietary trader I’ve worked with traditional institutional investors, retail brokers and financial advisers, hedge funds and issuers. BG Research will partner with you to deal with bond selection, trade execution, portfolio analysis and risk management in the municipal bond market to give you the edge in liquidity, relative value and incremental performance.
